Martyrdom of Fatimah al-Zahra (as)

After the Prophet's death, a group of up to 4000 men, led by Umar ibn Khattab, demanded Ali ibn Abi-Talib's allegiance to Abu Bakr at Fatima tuz Zahra's door. Ali, preparing the Qur'an, refused. They threatened to burn the house, set fire to the door, kicked it in, injuring Fatima—breaking her rib and causing miscarriage of Al-Muhassin. On her deathbed, Fatima requested a secret night burial attended by few loyal companions like Ali, al-Hassan, al-Husayn, Ammar bin Yasir, and Salman al-Muhammadi. Her grave's location remains unknown. Ali, who lifted Khaybar's gates effortlessly, wept unable to lift her body.

Death of Umm al-Banin (as)

Umm-ul-Banin, originally Fatima daughter of Hizam from a celebrated Arab family known for heroism and nobility, married Imam Ali after Fatima's death, on the advice of Aqil to bear a courageous son to support al-Husayn. She exceptionally cared for al-Hasan and al-Husayn, loving them more than her own four sons—al-Abbas, Abdullah, Ja’far, and Uthman—out of religious duty per the Qur’an. Revered by the Ahlul Bayt and Muslims for her loyalty and sacrifice in Karbala, she never remarried after Ali's death.

Birth of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as)

The Fifth Imam, Muhammad Ibn ‘Ali al-Baqir (as), born in Madina on 1st Rajab 57 Hijri and died on 7th Zilhijja 114 Hijri at age 57, led a 19-year Imamate. Fulfilling a prophecy, he was recognized by Jabir ibn Abdullah. He opened schools teaching Qur’an and Hadith, earning the title Baqir for his knowledge. He advised on Islamic currency, regained Fadak under Umer Ibn Abdul Aziz, and faced harassment from Hisham, demonstrating archery skills. His schools trained 25,000 students and produced 400 Hadith books. Poisoned by Ummayads, he was succeeded by Ja’far Sadiq (as).
